Dairy is the leading source of saturated fat in US

Prevalence of lactose intolerance

Dairy is the leading source of saturated fat in US. A meta-analysis of 395 studies, and by the NHS UK, shows higher saturated fat leads to higher cholesterol, which leads to higher risk of heart disease.

Consumption of dairy milk started only 10,000 years ago. For 95% of human existence, we did not consume the milk of any other animal but our own.

This might explain why 65% of the world is lactose intolerant, which means they cannot digest the sugar found in milk and consuming it can cause cramps, bloating, or indigestion. A sign that humans are not meant to drink mammalian milk after they leave infancy.
