Eggs and health risks

Every 1/2 egg you eat raises your risk of cardiovascular disease by 6%

A meta-analysis on 300,000+ people showed a direct link between egg consumption and your chances for cardiovascular disease. The same confirmed by another study.

Even if you just consume the egg whites, animal protein is bad for you. It contains IGF-1 which has been linked to cancer.

Do not eat eggs to raise your good cholesterol, HDL. A meta-analysis of 17 studies found that eggs greatly raise your LDL (bad cholesterol) but very little of HDL. For more about eggs and protein, see video.
