Healthier arteries = Healthier joints

80% of people with long-term, non-specific lower back pain had clogged arteries. In ages 11-16 year old, “unequivocal findings of tissue degradation could be observed.” [Spine]. There are also links between knee or hand osteoarthritis and heart disease.
Cartilage is the padding between joints. Blood does not directly enter it, but goes near it and nutrients need to seep into it. The cleaner your arteries, the more your blood can flow to the cartilage and reduce pain.
In one study on 24 people, it found reduced rheumatoid arthritis pain in just one month after going on low-fat, vegan diet. Clogged arteries have also been reversed on a whole food vegan diet.
Drinking bone broth will not help replace the damaged collagen in human joints. Bone broth contains peptides (small amino acid chains) and the human body does not absorb any peptides longer than 4 amino acids. Human collagen between joints has over 600 amino acids. More in this video.
