15% less signs of cancer found in vegan populations

80% of pIGF-1 (Insulin-like Growth Factor 1) is connected to many diseases, from acne to cancer. An Oxford study on 100 omnivores, 100 vegetarians, and 100 vegans found about 13% less IGF-1 in vegans.
The paper also quoted studies which found 10% increase in IGF-1 after consuming dairy milk. This might explain why a meta-analysis found vegan populations overall have about 15% less cancer.
Another study on only women found that the vegan female group had 30% lower cancer rates, whereas the vegetarian groups had even higher cancer rates than the omnivore, perhaps because of higher dairy intake.
