Animal farming waste effects on water

Excess nitrates are dangerous to humans, causing things like hyperthyroidism, diabetes, cancer.

Rivers and water bodies near animal factory farms have 4-33 times higher concentration of E. Coli and nitrates, like the pink waste water lagoon near a factory farm. In fact, farming is the biggest cause of river pollution in the UK.
